CT River Watershed Planning Project
Windham County Natural Resources Conservation District and project partners throughout Vermont and New Hampshire are working to identify best management practices (BMPs) for reducing nitrogen runoff into the CT River Watershed. NOFA-NH is a member of the CT River Watershed Planning Project steering committee and producer outreach subcommittee.

Producers who farm in the CT River Watershed are invited to participate in a 10-15 minute survey on which BMP’s they practice or would be most willing to implement. Surveys are 100% confidential and will not be used for reporting or regulatory purposes. Producer stipends are available—receive a $50 gift card for participating!

Contact us to to take the survey by phone or email at 603-224-5022 and info@nofanh.org.
Interested in engaging further? Producer stipends are available. There are three subcommittees working on various aspects of this project:
Survey Design Subcommittee – is working to design the survey we’ll use to gather info from farmers on BMPs and barriers to implementation.
Producer Outreach Subcommittee – is working to create a plan for outreach to make sure we reach farmers that are representative of the types and sizes of agriculture in the upper basin.
Secondary Source Review Subcommittee – is working to find and evaluate existing research to inform the design of our project.
