|Time||6:00pm - 9:00pm|

Goffstown NH 03045
From four cows and a short term lease on six acres, to twenty cows, secure land tenure, a Grade A organic dairy processing facility, and a viable business in three years. How did the farmers at Benedikt Dairy do it? At this field day, Melissa and Max will share the tools they’ve used, what they’ve learned about pasture and animal health, and the perspectives they gained in the process. Join NOFA-NH and Granite State Graziers on this multi-faceted tour of a beginning pastured, organic dairy operation.
Immediately following the tour, stay with us for local food and beverages, music and mixing and mingling. The mixer portion of this event is part of a series of farmer events NOFA-NH has been hosting with partners around the state. The series, called Focus on Farmers, has been made possible by a grant awarded to NOFA-NH in 2013 by the Thomas W. Haas Fund of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.
The goal of the Focus on Farmers Project is to get local farmers together to network and talk about shared challenges and goals. Each event is tailored to the interests of the farmers in that region. We hope the result will be improved collaboration between farms, and perhaps some new joint projects to improve individual farm successes, which of course means improved agricultural successes as a region and state.
PLEASE RSVP below so we can have an accurate count for food and beverages!
Scholarships are available to beginning farmers. Click here to apply!
