David is a student of mushroom expert Paul Staments, attends festivals such as the Telluride Mushroom Festival and has conducted hundreds of hours of personal research. David provides workshops throughout New England and at Wichland Woods. He has constructed a new mushroom grow house to increase production for his small mushroom facility at Wichland Woods. He currently sells wild-forged, locally grown, and exotic mushrooms and related products at the local Keene Farmer’s Market and via mail order. For more information, visit his website: www.wichlandwoods.com.

Wichland Woods is a unique, local myco-business located in the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire. By educating the public about mycology, we strive to promote people’s awareness about the health and ecological benefits of mushrooms. Through our workshops, Wichland Woods encourages people to expand their gardening realm into a mycological-friendly landscape. We educate the public on the techniques of “backyard mushrooming” and how everyday resources can be used to cultivate their own mycelia network. We create over a dozen local strains of mushrooms, which are carefully expanded using sterile techniques. Wichland Woods works with other northeast mycologists in promoting the health benefits of mushrooms.

We will have a potluck lunch, fresh mushrooms and mushroom tea.
